Michał Krystian Wiśniewski was born on September 9, 1972, in Łódź, Poland. He is a famous Polish pop singer. Michał is best known as the leader of the pop group Ich Troje. He represented Poland in the 2003 and 2006 Eurovision Song Contests. Michał is famous for his bright red hair, but he has also had green, pink, orange, black, and white hair in the past!
About Michał Wiśniewski
Michał grew up in Poland with his grandmother. After she passed away, he moved to Germany to live with his aunt's family. He has both Polish and German citizenship. Michał also has two brothers, Jakub and Jarosław.
In Poland, Michał is very well known as the leader of the pop group Ich Troje. He started this group in 1995 with Jacek Łągwa and Magda Femme. Magda Femme was the first singer for Ich Troje from 1995 to 2001.
Ich Troje's Journey
After Magda, Justyna Majkowska became the singer from 2001 to 2003. During this time, Ich Troje was one of the most popular pop groups in Poland. They sang for Poland at the 2003 Eurovision with their song Keine Grenzen. They finished in seventh place, which was a great result for Poland!
After Justyna left, Michał chose a new singer, Anna Świątczak, in 2003. She won a special TV show called Szansa na sukces. In 2006, Ich Troje won the Polish competition to go to the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Their song was Follow my heart. Many past Ich Troje singers joined them on stage. However, they did not make it to the finals in Athens that year. Anna Wiśniewska left the group in 2010.
The fourth singer for Ich Troje was Jeanette Vik from Norway. In 2011, Michał took part in a TV show called Bitwa na głosy. He led a team of sixteen talented singers from Łódź. One of the singers from his team, Justyna Panfilewicz, became the fifth Ich Troje vocalist in 2011.
Ich Troje has released many albums. Some of their most popular albums include Ad. 4 (2001) and Po piąte... a niech gadają (2002). They even released an album in 2004 called 6-ty ostatni przystanek, which many thought would be their last. But they got back together and released another album in 2006!
Other Projects
Michał Wiśniewski has also acted in two movies: Star (called Gwiazdor in Polish) in 2002 and Lawstorant in 2005. He has also been on TV reality shows like I Am What I Am (Jestem jaki jestem) and Show Your Face (Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo). He also started another band called Red Head.
Family Life
Michał Wiśniewski has six children. He is known for giving his children unique names, often from French. He can also speak German language very well.
Michał has been married five times. He has two children with Marta Mandrykiewicz: a son named Xavier Michał (born in 2002) and a daughter named Fabienne Marta (born in 2003).
With Anna Świątczak, he has two daughters: Etienette Anna (born in 2006) and Vivienne Vienna (born in 2008).
Michał married Pola Wiśniewska in 2020. They have two sons together: Falco Amadeus (born in 2021) and Noël Cloë (born in 2023).
