Michael Gandolfini (born May 10, 1999) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in movies and TV shows. Michael made his big movie debut in Ocean's 8 (2018). He also appeared in The Many Saints of Newark (2021). In this movie, he played a younger version of Tony Soprano. His father, James Gandolfini, played the same character in the famous TV series The Sopranos.

Early life of Michael Gandolfini
Michael Gandolfini was born on May 10, 1999, in New York City. His father was the actor James Gandolfini. Michael has a younger half-sister from his father's second marriage. When he was a teenager, Michael enjoyed acting. However, his father suggested he try sports or become a director instead of an actor. He thought directors had more power.
Sadly, his father, James Gandolfini, passed away in Rome on June 19, 2013, when Michael was 14 years old.
Michael Gandolfini's Acting Career
After his father passed away, Michael Gandolfini decided to become an actor. He went to New York University after finishing high school. After some early tryouts, he got a role in the HBO TV show The Deuce. He played a character named Joey Dwyer.
In 2019, Michael was chosen for the movie The Many Saints of Newark. This movie tells the story of a younger Tony Soprano. Michael's father had played the adult Tony Soprano in The Sopranos TV series. Michael had never watched The Sopranos before getting the role. He said watching the show to prepare for the part was a very strong experience.
Later, he was cast in the crime drama movie Cherry, made by the Russo brothers. In 2024, he joined the cast of Warfare. This is a war film written and directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland.
