Michael Mondo has had an exciting career in rugby league. He played for his home country, Papua New Guinea, on several occasions.
Early International Games
In 1996, Mondo played for Papua New Guinea against Australia. This game happened during a time called the Super League war, which was a big disagreement in the rugby league world.
World Cup Appearances
Later, between 2000 and 2001, Michael Mondo played in six important international matches, known as "tests." Four of these games were part of the exciting 2000 Rugby League World Cup. This is a huge tournament where countries compete for the world title.
Club Team Success
Besides playing for his country, Mondo also played for different club teams. He had two separate times playing for the Narrandera Lizards. In 1996, his team made it to the grand final, which is the championship game.
