Michael Tarver's Wrestling Journey
Starting His Career (2005–2008)
Tyrone Evans began his wrestling career in 2005. He competed in different wrestling promotions, mostly in Ohio. He won his first championship, the Pro Wrestling Express (PWX) Brass Knuckles Championship, in April 2005. Later, he also won the Main Event Wrestling League (MEWL) Heavyweight Championship in April 2007. During this time, he used nicknames like "The Panther" and "Black Panther."
Joining WWE (2008–2011)
In 2008, Evans signed a contract with WWE. He was sent to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), which was a training ground for new WWE wrestlers. There, he used the name Tyrone Jones and later Tyson Tarver. He even appeared as a bodyguard for boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. at WrestleMania XXIV. In FCW, he joined a group called The Saxton Conglomerate. In 2009, he changed his wrestling name to 'Michael Tarver'.
Becoming Part of The Nexus (2010–2011)
In 2010, Michael Tarver was chosen to be one of eight new wrestlers on the first season of WWE NXT. This show was a competition for new talent. Tarver's mentor on the show was another wrestler named Carlito.
After the NXT season ended, Tarver and the other rookies made a big splash. They suddenly attacked John Cena and other WWE stars during a show called Raw. This surprise attack made them "bad guys" in the wrestling world. They formed a powerful group called The Nexus.
The Nexus quickly became a major force in WWE. They had a big match against John Cena and other WWE wrestlers at SummerSlam. Tarver was part of this team. Later, Tarver was written out of The Nexus storyline after he got a groin injury. He was released from his WWE contract in June 2011.
After WWE (2011–2021)
After leaving WWE, Michael Tarver continued wrestling on the "independent circuit." This means he wrestled for smaller wrestling companies. He went back to using the name Michael Tarver.

In 2014, he wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) in Japan. He also competed in other promotions like Full Impact Pro. In 2018, The Nexus group even reunited for a special tournament in a promotion called Chikara. Tarver also wrestled for The Great Khali's Continental Wrestling Entertainment, winning a championship there. He retired from wrestling in 2021.
