Michele Austin is a British actress famous for her roles in television shows and movies. She is well-known for playing Police Constable Yvonne Hemmingway in the popular TV series The Bill. For this role, she won a Screen Nation Award for Best Television Actress.

She also received great praise for her role as Chantelle in the movie Hard Truths. For her performance, she won the National Society of Film Critics award for Best Supporting Actress.

Acting Career

Michele Austin trained to be an actress at Rose Bruford College in London. After finishing her studies, she began her career in acting.

Early Roles

One of Austin's first movie roles was in Secrets & Lies in 1996. She later appeared in another film by the same director, Another Year in 2010.

Over the years, she has appeared in many of Britain's most famous television shows. She even played two different characters in The Bill before landing her main role as PC Hemmingway.
