Michiharu Otagiri (小田切 道治, Otagiri Michiharu, born September 2, 1978) is a well-known Japanese football figure. He used to be a professional football player. Today, he is the manager for the J3 League club, Nara Club.

Michiharu Otagiri's Playing Career
Michiharu Otagiri was born in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on September 2, 1978. After finishing high school, he joined Kyoto Purple Sanga in 1997. This team played in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. However, he did not play in any matches during his time there until 1998.
In 1999, Otagiri moved to Ventforet Kofu, a club in the J2 League. The J2 League is the second-highest professional football league in Japan. He played as a left-side defender for Ventforet Kofu, but he did not get to play in many games.
In 2000, he joined Jatco TT, a team in the Japan Football League (JFL). The JFL is a semi-professional league below the J-Leagues. At Jatco, he became a regular player and played in many matches. However, the Jatco club was closed down at the end of the 2003 season.
After Jatco closed, Otagiri moved to another JFL club, YKK AP, in 2004. This team later became known as Kataller Toyama. He continued to be a regular player for this club until 2007. In 2008, he played less often. In 2009, his team, Kataller Toyama, was promoted to the J2 League. Michiharu Otagiri decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2009 season.
Michiharu Otagiri's Managerial Career
After ending his playing career, Michiharu Otagiri began coaching. In 2010, he became a coach for the Kataller Toyama U-15 team. This means he helped train younger players.
He continued to work with Kataller Toyama. On September 19, 2022, he became the manager of the main Kataller Toyama team. He led the team until 2025. As of July 28, 2025, Michiharu Otagiri is the manager of Nara Club. He is now guiding this team in the J3 League.
