Miguel Pallardó's Club Career
Playing for Valencia
Miguel Pallardó was born in Alaquàs, a town in Spain. He started his football journey in the youth academy of Valencia CF. He played a role similar to a "holding midfielder," which means he helped defend and control the middle of the field.
He joined Valencia's main team for the 2006–07 season. During this time, he played in ten La Liga games. His very first game in the top league was on May 15, 2005, where he played for ten minutes in a match against RCD Espanyol. Before joining the main team, he spent the 2005–06 season playing for Valencia's reserve team, Valencia B.
Time at Getafe and Levante
In July 2007, Miguel was loaned to Getafe CF. He played 14 games in the top league during his first year there. In August 2008, Getafe owned him, but he was loaned again, this time to Levante UD. Levante was a team in the Segunda División, which is Spain's second-highest league. This move meant he returned to play in his home region.
He scored his first goal as a professional player on November 8, helping Levante win 2–1 against CD Tenerife. After a good season, his loan to Levante was extended. He became a very important player for the team, playing 35 games. Levante then moved back up to the top league after two years. Miguel continued to play regularly for them in the 2010–11 season, and Levante managed to stay in the top league.
On June 17, 2011, Miguel officially left Getafe and signed a three-year contract to stay with Levante permanently. However, during this time, he struggled to become a regular starter and also faced some injuries. On January 31, 2013, he was loaned to UD Almería, another team in the second division, until June.
Moving to Hearts in Scotland
In August 2014, Miguel had a trial with a French team, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, but he didn't sign with them. On September 11, he signed a one-year contract with Heart of Midlothian, a team in Scotland. Two days later, he was on the team for a game but didn't play.
Miguel played his first official game for Hearts on October 4, 2014. He came into the game for the last 12 minutes, helping his team win 3–0 against Queen of the South. He scored his first goal for Hearts on January 31 of the next year, scoring the first goal in a 4–1 win against Alloa Athletic.
On May 29, 2015, Miguel helped his team get promoted to a higher league. He played in 23 games that season. Because of his good performance, he extended his contract with Hearts for another year. About a year later, it was announced that he would leave the club.
