Miguel Skrobot was born in 1873 in Warsaw, Poland. His parents were José Skrobot and Rosa Skrobot. When he was 18 years old, he moved to Brazil. He settled in the city of Curitiba, where he started working as a merchant. A merchant is someone who buys and sells goods.

Family Life

In Brazil, Miguel Skrobot married Maria Pansardi. Maria was born in Tibagi, a city in the state of Paraná. Her parents were immigrants from Italy. Miguel and Maria had three children together.

His Businesses

Miguel Skrobot was a busy entrepreneur. He owned a factory that used steam power to grind and toast coffee beans. This coffee was sold under the brand name "Rio Branco." His factory was located in the area where Praça Zacarias (Zacarias Square) is found in the center of Curitiba today.

Besides the coffee factory, Miguel Skrobot also owned a grocery store. This store was close to Praça Tiradentes (Tiradentes Square), which is another important square in the heart of Curitiba.

Later Life and Death

Miguel Skrobot passed away at a young age on February 20, 1912. He was 39 years old when he died.
