Miguel Torrejos Tanfelix (born September 21, 1998) is a popular Filipino actor. He first became known as a child actor when he played young Pagaspas in the fantasy TV show Mulawin in 2004.

He became even more famous as a teenager for his lead role in the TV series Niño (2014), where he played a kind-hearted boy with special needs. More recently, he starred as Steve Armstrong in the science fiction series Voltes V: Legacy (2023).

Personal Life and Education

Miguel Tanfelix was born on September 21, 1998, in Dasmariñas, Cavite, in the Philippines. His parents, Mary Grace Torrejos and Gary Tanfelix, are both teachers and enjoy mountain climbing. Miguel is the older of their two children.

To make it easier to travel for his acting work, his family has a second home in Parañaque. He went to high school at the Cavite School of Life. After graduating, he began studying entrepreneurship at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas.

Tanfelix has also worked as a celebrity ambassador for U4U, a youth program by the Commission on Population and Development. This program helps give Filipino teenagers useful information about making healthy choices.

Acting Career

Starting as a Child Actor

Miguel was only five years old when he joined StarStruck Kids in 2004. This TV talent show helps find new young actors. He was a finalist and was named the "First Prince" of the season.

Soon after, he was cast in the popular fantasy series (or fantaserye) Mulawin. He played the younger version of a character named Pagaspas. This role made him a familiar face to many viewers.

For the next several years, he often played the younger versions of main characters in different TV shows. Some of these included Majika (2006), Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso (2007), and La Vendetta (2007).

Breakthrough Role in Niño

In 2014, Tanfelix got his biggest role yet when he was chosen to star in the TV series Niño. He played the main character, a cheerful boy with a mental disability. His performance was highly praised, and he was nominated for several acting awards.

This role made him a leading actor. During this time, he also became a co-host and performer on the variety show Sunday All Stars. He also starred in the family comedy show Ismol Family with his on-screen partner, Bianca Umali.

Recent Projects

In 2015, Tanfelix starred in another major TV series called Once Upon a Kiss. The following year, he had a lead role in the afternoon drama Wish I May. He also returned to the Encantadia universe by playing Pagaspas again in the 2016 version of the show and its sequel, Mulawin vs. Ravena (2017).

One of his most famous recent roles was in 2023, when he played Steve Armstrong in Voltes V: Legacy. This show was a live-action adaptation of a classic animated series. In 2025, he is set to appear in the series Mga Batang Riles.

Awards and Recognition

Throughout his career, Miguel Tanfelix has been nominated for many awards. His role in Niño earned him nominations for Best Drama Actor from the PMPC Star Awards for TV and Outstanding Performance by an Actor from the Golden Screen TV Awards.

In 2015, he received the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the FAMAS Awards. He has also won awards for being a positive role model for young people, such as the Pinakahuwarang Artista ng Mga Kabataan in 2017.
