Mika Aereen Marcaliñas Reyes, born on June 21, 1994, is a famous Filipino volleyball player. She plays as a middle hitter or blocker. Right now, she plays for the PLDT High Speed Hitters team in the Premier Volleyball League.

About Mika Reyes

Mika grew up in Pulilan, Bulacan, a town in the Philippines. Her family has a resort there. She went to high school at St. Scholastica's College, Manila. After high school, she was invited to join the volleyball team at De La Salle University. She studied Psychology and finished her degree in 2016.

Mika's Volleyball Journey

Mika Reyes has achieved many great things in her volleyball career. She was named the Best Attacker in the 2013 PVF Intercollegiate Volleyball Championship. She also earned the Most Valuable Player award in the same championship in 2015.

Early Awards and Team Success

In 2014, Mika won the Best Blocker award at the Philippine National Games. The next year, in 2015, she was recognized as the 1st Best Middle Blocker. She was a key player for the DLSU Lady Spikers, helping them win championships in UAAP Season 74, Season 75, and Season 78.

In 2016, while playing for F2 Logistics, Mika became a brand ambassador for the Philippine Super Liga. On July 28, 2016, she was chosen to join the Philippine team. This team competed in the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

Playing for Petron Blaze Spikers

On January 11, 2017, Mika Reyes signed a two-year contract with the Petron Blaze Spikers team. She was part of the PSL selections that played in big international tournaments. These included the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship and the 2017 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Kazakhstan. They also competed in the 2017 Annual H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup in Thailand, where they won a bronze medal.

Leading the National Team

In May 2017, Mika Reyes was chosen to be the team captain of the Philippine women's national volleyball team. She led the team in the 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship and the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia.

More Wins with Petron

With the Petron Blaze Spikers, Mika continued to win awards. She earned a silver medal in the 2017 PSL Invitational Cup. She also won a gold medal in the 2017 PSL All-Filipino Conference, where she was named the Second Best Middle Blocker. In the 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference, she won another silver medal and was recognized as the First Best Middle Blocker.
