Mikaele Pesamino was born on April 2, 1984. He is a talented rugby union player from Samoa. He played for the Samoa Sevens team.

Mikaele was the top scorer in the 2009–2010 Sevens World Series. His amazing skills helped Samoa win their first-ever World Series title. Because of his great performance, he was named the IRB World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year in 2010.

Early Life and Sports

Mikaele Pesamino was born in Vailele, a village on the island of Upolu in Samoa. He first showed his incredible speed while representing Leififi College. This was during the annual Champ of Champs athletic competition.

After that, he decided to focus on his rugby career. Mikaele also played Australian rules football when he was younger. He was even part of the Samoan national Australian rules football team. He played in the International Cup tournaments in 2002 and 2005.

Playing for Samoa Sevens

Mikaele Pesamino was a key player for the Samoa national rugby sevens team. This team plays in the IRB Sevens World Series, which is a big competition held in different countries each year.

He was one of the top try scorers in the 2007–2008 Sevens Series. He then became the top try scorer in the 2009–2010 Series. This was the season when Samoa won the championship.

In 2007, Mikaele scored a try in the final of the 2007 Wellington Sevens. This helped Samoa win their first-ever tournament. They beat Fiji 17–14 in an exciting match.

Fifteens Rugby Career

Besides playing Sevens rugby, Mikaele Pesamino also played the longer version of the game, known as fifteens rugby. He played for Auckland in New Zealand. This was in a competition called the Air New Zealand Cup.

In 2010, Mikaele signed to play for Sale Sharks, a team in England. However, there were some issues with his work visa. Also, he was busy playing for Samoa in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He also joined Samoa's tour of Europe later that year. Because of these delays, the deal with Sale Sharks was eventually called off in January 2011.
