Michael Daniel Ginn, born on July 24, 1989, is an actor from New Zealand. He is most famous for playing the character Gem, who was the Gold Ranger in the TV show Power Rangers RPM.

Early Life and Learning

Mike Ginn grew up in New Zealand. His family has Chinese roots.

When he was in elementary school, Mike discovered he loved acting. Because of this passion, he started going to drama school in 2005. He finished his studies in 2007. He earned a special degree in performing and screen arts from Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland.

Acting Career

Just one year after finishing drama school, Mike Ginn got a big role. He was cast as Gem, the Gold Ranger, in the kids' TV show Power Rangers RPM (2009). This show was filmed in Auckland.

Since then, Mike has appeared in several other movies and shows. One of these was the romantic comedy film My Wedding and Other Secrets (2011).

Mike also returned to play Gem in the web series Power Rangers Hyperforce (2017–2018). After this, he worked more closely with the production company, Hyper RPG. He became a main actor on their show 10 Candles (2018). This was a horror show based on a tabletop game. He also appeared as a guest on other shows like Roguelike and Perception Check.

Mike's Personal Life

Mike Ginn currently lives in Los Angeles, California, in the United States.

He has a twin brother named Ken. Ken is a lawyer in Australia. He studied at the University of Auckland and was the first president of the Asian Students in Auckland group at the university.
