Michael "Mike" Hall (born June 5, 1984) is an American-Irish former professional basketball player. He played as a forward and is now a coach.

College Basketball Career
Mike Hall went to Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, Illinois. He then played basketball for George Washington University from 2002 to 2006. He was a starter for all four years.
During his senior year, he was one of the team's three captains. His team had an amazing record of 27 wins and only 3 losses that season. His college teams won the Atlantic 10 Conference in 2005. They also made it to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in both 2005 and 2006. In 2019, Mike Hall was honored by being added to George Washington's Athletics Hall of Fame.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Mike Hall was not chosen in the NBA draft. He started his professional career with the Tulsa 66ers in the NBA Development League. This league helps players get ready for the NBA.
Playing in the NBA
On February 28, 2007, the Washington Wizards signed Mike Hall to a short contract. They needed players because some of their forwards, like Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler, were injured. He played well enough that they signed him for a second short contract. On March 21, the Wizards signed him for the rest of the season. He played in two games for the Wizards. Later that year, in October 2007, he left the team.
Playing Overseas
Mike Hall then moved to play basketball in other countries. On August 11, 2008, he joined Armani Jeans Milano, a top team in Italy's Lega Basket Serie A. In the 2008–09 season, he was one of the best rebounders in the Italian league. His strong play helped Armani Jeans reach the Top 16 in the Euroleague (a major European competition). They also made it to the finals of the Italian league. During this time, he scored his highest points (27) and rebounds (9) in Euroleague games. He also had 23 points and 15 rebounds in an Italian league game.
After playing for Milano, Mike Hall continued his career with several other teams. In August 2010, he signed with Bancatercas Teramo in Italy. He later played for the Dakota Wizards in the NBA Development League again. In January 2011, he moved to Turkey to play for Erdemir SK.
In 2012, he played for Fuenlabrada in Spain and Maccabi Ashdod in Israel. He also played in Venezuela for Toros de Aragua in 2014. He had short stays with La Bruixa d'Or Manresa in Spain and Juventud Sionista in Argentina. In 2015, he played for Aries Trikala in Greece and Scaligera Verona in Italy.
From 2015 to 2017, he played for Pallacanestro Biella in Italy. He also played for Kleb Basket Ferrara. On October 20, 2021, Mike Hall announced that he was retiring from playing professional basketball.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Mike Hall started a new path as a coach. In 2021, he joined the New York Knicks basketball organization. He works with the Westchester Knicks as their Player Development Manager. In this role, he helps players improve their skills and grow as athletes.
