Mike Möllensiep (born November 28, 1975 – died May 14, 2019) was a German footballer. He was known for playing as a striker, which means he was a player whose main job was to score goals for his team.

Growing Up with Football
Mike Möllensiep was born in Gelsenkirchen, a city in Germany. From a young age, he loved football. He joined the youth academy of FC Schalke 04, which is a very famous German football club. He played there until 1994, learning many important skills.
Playing for Different Clubs
Mike started his professional football journey in the mid-1990s. He played for many different clubs during his career. Some of the teams he played for include:
- FC Schalke 04 (where he started in the youth team)
- VfB Lübeck
- Dynamo Dresden
- Schwarz-Weiß Essen
- KFC Uerdingen
He was a dedicated player and spent many years on the field. He played for Schwarz-Weiß Essen for five years, from 2001 to 2006, which was one of his longest stays at a club.
Later Years
After his time as a player, Mike also became a manager for some clubs. He managed Fortuna Gronau from 2012 to 2016. He also managed TC Freisenbruch from 2016 to 2017.
Sadly, in 2017, Mike Möllensiep was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away on May 14, 2019, at the age of 43.
