Michael Anthony Williams (born June 16, 1962) is an American actor and a former professional boxer. He competed in boxing from 1984 to 2000. You might know him from the 1990 movie Rocky V, where he played the boxer Union Cane.

Michael Williams was known by his nickname, "Mercury," when he started his professional boxing career in 1984. He was seen as a promising new talent. He won his first 13 fights in a row! One of these wins was against a well-known boxer named James Tillis.

In 1987, he faced a big challenge. He fought against a former champion, Tim Witherspoon, and lost by a very close decision. The next year, he lost another fight to Buster Douglas.
