Korol i Shut became one of the most popular rock bands in Russia. They were very successful and well-known for their punk and hard rock sound. The band won many music awards in Russia. Mikhail also worked in theater and with other Russian rock musicians.
Mikhail was known for his special look on stage. For a long time, he had very few upper teeth. He had lost them by the age of 10. This made him look a bit like a vampire or a demon to some people. Later, Mikhail started using false teeth.

Mikhail Gorsheniov was born on August 7, 1973. He was born in a city called Pikalevo, in the Leningrad Region of Russia. His family moved often because of his father's job. They lived in many different places, mostly in the Far East.
When Mikhail was two years old, his younger brother, Alexei, was born. As a child, Mikhail wanted to join the military like his father. However, when he was 18, doctors found he had scoliosis. This meant he could not join the military.
When it was time for Mikhail to start first grade, his family lived near Khabarovsk. His parents decided to send him to live with his grandmother in the Leningrad region for school. After school, Mikhail went to a restoration school for three years. He left the school to focus on his music.

In 2006, he helped record a new version of a song called "Punk Rock Lessons." In 2008, he recorded a song called "Don't Crucify Me" with a former bandmate, Alexander Balunov.
In 2010, Mikhail became interested in theater. He had an idea to create a musical about a barber who was a maniac. This idea grew into the musical "TODD."
