Miles City is a small, unincorporated community located in Collier County, Florida. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. It's found near where two important roads meet: Interstate 75 (also known as Alligator Alley) and State Road 29.

Miles City is part of a larger area called the Naples–Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was named after Miles Collier (1914-1954). He was the son of Barron Collier, a very important landowner in this part of Florida.

History of Miles City

Miles City first opened in the 1920s. It became home to many families who worked at the Roskey Packing Plant. This plant was a big part of the community's early life.

Miles City was also once a stop on the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. This railway line, specifically the Harrisburg-Everglades City branch, helped connect the community to other places.
