Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame, Inc. is a special group in Minnesota. It's a nonprofit organization, which means it works to help people and doesn't make money for itself. Its main goal is to celebrate and remember amazing people who have done great things in flying (aviation) in Minnesota. This includes pilots, engineers, and others, both those who are still alive and those who have passed away.

What the Hall of Fame Does

The Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame collects and keeps important information about each person they honor. These files include stories from interviews, pictures, and other cool items that show their history in aviation. They want to make sure these pioneers are remembered for their contributions to flying.

Where to See the Awards

Copies of the special awards given to the people in the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame are on display. You can see them at the Wings of the North Air Museum. This museum is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, very close to the Flying Cloud Airport control tower. There are more than 200 of these award plaques shown, each one honoring a different aviation hero from Minnesota.
