Mirette Investigates is an exciting animated TV show. It was made in France and Spain. The show is based on a series of fun picture books. These books were written by Fanny Joly and illustrated by Laurent Audouin. The first book came out in 2008. The TV series first aired on TF1 in France on November 6, 2016. It's known as the "first travelling detective comedy."

What's the Show About?
The show follows the amazing adventures of a young French detective. Her name is Mirette. She travels all over the world with her talking cat assistant, Jean-Pat. They go with Mirette's dad, who is a travel agent. Together, they solve all sorts of mysteries in different countries.
Meet the Characters!
- Mirette: She is an eleven-year-old girl. Mirette wants to be the best detective in the world. She likes to use older, traditional tools to solve her cases.
- Jean-Pat: This is Mirette's main partner. He is a tech-smart but sometimes lazy cat. He helps Mirette on all their adventures.
- Detective Mollo: He is another detective. However, he is not very good at his job.
- Sophie Scoop: She is thirteen years old. Sophie is Mirette's best friend. She dreams of becoming a news reporter. Sophie is also Jean-Pat's biggest fan!
- The Grand Vilain International (GVI): He is the only member of a secret group called FPECTRE. His big plan is to turn the whole world into a giant minigolf course. He often tries to cause trouble for Mirette. GVI has a dog named Gérard.
How the Show Was Made
Mirette Investigates was first shown as an idea in 2013. This happened at a big animation event called Cartoon Forum. The actual making of the show started in October 2014. It was produced by two companies: Cyber Group Studios and KD Productions.

The show has been sold to many TV channels around the world. In France, you can watch it on TF1 and Canal+. In Spain, it's on TV3. Other countries like Germany (WDR), Poland (Teletoon+), Sweden (Sveriges Television), Switzerland (RTS), and Belgium (VRT) also air the show. In 2016, Studio 100 also got the rights to release the show on DVD and for online viewing in German-speaking areas.
