Mishael Morgan (born Marie-Charms Mishael Morgan on July 15, 1986) is a Trinidadian-Canadian actress. She is famous for playing two different characters, Hilary Curtis and Amanda Sinclair, on the popular TV show The Young and the Restless.
For her role as Amanda Sinclair, she made history in 2022. She became the first Black actress to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. This is one of the highest awards an actor can receive for a daytime TV show.

Early Life and Education
Mishael Morgan was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, on July 15, 1986. Her parents are Michael and Sharon Morgan, and she has two sisters, Maggris and Monique.
When Mishael was five, her family moved from Trinidad to New York. Later, they moved to Toronto, Ontario, in Canada, and lived in the city of Mississauga. She went to York University in Toronto and graduated in 2008. After college, she started her acting career.
Acting Career
First Roles on TV
Mishael began her career with a role in the Canadian teen show The Best Years from 2008 to 2009. She was also a main character in the YTV comedy show Family Biz.
She appeared in several other TV shows, including Republic of Doyle, Supernatural, and The Listener. She also had small parts in movies like Casino Jack (2010) and Total Recall (2012).
The Young and the Restless
In 2013, Mishael got her big break when she was cast as Hilary Curtis on the CBS TV show The Young and the Restless. She played this character for five years. In 2018, she decided to leave the show after her character died in a car accident on-screen.
However, fans were excited when she returned to the show in 2019. This time, she played a new character named Amanda Sinclair, a lawyer. Her performance as Amanda was so good that it earned her a historic Daytime Emmy Award in 2022.
After her big win, she decided to appear on the show less often to spend more time with her family in Toronto. She has made special appearances on the show in 2023 and 2024.
Other Projects
Besides The Young and the Restless, Mishael has worked on other projects. From 2022 to 2023, she had a role as a doctor in the TV drama Chicago Med.
In 2023, she starred in several movies, including the thriller Sworn Justice: Taken Before Christmas and the holiday movie Christmas With a Kiss. She also starred in and helped produce a Canadian thriller film called Sway.
Personal Life
Mishael Morgan married Navid Ali in May 2012. They have two children together. Their son was born in 2015, and their daughter was born in 2018.
Her friend and The Young and the Restless co-star, Christel Khalil, even co-hosted her baby shower in 2015.
