Mitchell Moses (born 16 September 1994) is a professional rugby league player. He plays as a halfback for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League (NRL). Mitchell has also been the captain for the Lebanon national team.
Before joining the Eels, he played for the Wests Tigers. He has also represented the Australian Prime Minister's XIII and World All Stars teams.

Mitchell Moses' Early Life
Mitchell Moses was born in Ryde, New South Wales, Australia. His birthday is 16 September 1994. His parents are John and Rhonda Moses. Mitchell has family roots in Lebanon. His uncle is Benny Elias, a famous former Balmain Tigers player.
Junior Football Career
Mitchell started playing junior rugby league for the Holy Cross Rhinos. He also played for the Carlingford Cougars. The Parramatta Eels first signed him for their junior teams. He played for the Eels' Harold Matthews Cup team. Later, he joined the Wests Tigers. Mitchell once said he wanted to stay with Parramatta. But he respected their decision to let him go.
In 2012, Mitchell played for the Tigers' S. G. Ball Cup team. They won the grand final against the Canberra Raiders. He was named the S. G. Ball Cup Player of the Year. That same year, he played for the Australian Schoolboys. In November 2012, he was part of the New South Wales Blues Origin Pathways Camp. Mitchell played for the Wests Tigers NYC team in 2013 and 2014. In August 2013, he signed a new 4-year contract with the Tigers. He felt he played his best football alongside his teammate Luke Brooks.

2014: Starting in the NRL
In February 2014, Mitchell was chosen for the Wests Tigers' first Auckland Nines team. In May, he played for New South Wales in the Under 20s State of Origin match. He was a last-minute choice at halfback. Mitchell helped his team win 30-8. He was praised for leading the team well.
Mitchell made his NRL debut in Round 17 of the 2014 NRL season. He played for the Wests Tigers against the Penrith Panthers. He played as a fullback in the 26-10 loss. In the last game of the season, Mitchell scored his first NRL try. This was against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He finished his first year with 1 try and 2 goals in 10 games. He started as a fullback before moving to the halves. His first year in the NRL was challenging.
2015: Finding His Rhythm
In 2015, Mitchell played in the halves with Luke Brooks. He found it tough at first with the new coach's style. He said he felt frustrated and low on confidence. Mitchell described himself as a "freestyle player." He learned to play within a structure while still having freedom. In Round 15, he scored two tries in one game against Manly. He played every game that year as a five-eighth.
2016: A Key Playmaker
Mitchell became a main playmaker for the Tigers in 2016. In Round 1, he set up three amazing tries. The Tigers won 34-26 against the New Zealand Warriors. His coach said he had grown a lot. 2017: Moving to the Eels
In February 2017, Mitchell played for the World All Stars. He started as a five-eighth. Early in the season, there was much talk about his contract. He signed a 3-year deal with the Parramatta Eels for 2018. He asked to join the Eels earlier, but the Tigers said no at first. On 16 May, he was released to join the Eels. Mitchell played 10 games for the Tigers that year. He scored 3 tries and kicked 28 goals before moving.
On 20 May, Mitchell played his first game for the Eels. This was at halfback in a loss to the Canberra Raiders. On 29 June, he kicked a field goal in extra time. This won the game for Parramatta against Canterbury 13-12. On 8 July, he scored his first try for Parramatta. The Eels finished 4th and made the finals. Mitchell played in all 26 games that season. This included 10 for the Tigers and 16 for the Eels. He scored 4 tries, kicked 59 goals, and 1 field goal.
Representing Lebanon
Mitchell was chosen as vice-captain for Lebanon in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. In their first game against France, he played very well. He scored a try, kicked 4 goals, and a field goal. Lebanon won 29-18. Even though Lebanon lost other games, Mitchell was named in the Team of the Tournament. He played in all 4 matches for Lebanon.
2018: A Challenging Year
Mitchell faced some challenges in 2018. He was sent off the field temporarily in the first two games. In Round 2, Parramatta lost 54-0 to Manly. On 5 May, he missed a kick that would have sent the game to extra time. On 2 June, he had a knee injury. Luckily, it was not serious. On 19 July, Mitchell scored the winning try for Parramatta. This was against their rivals Canterbury. In Round 25, he was sent off temporarily again.
At the end of 2018, Mitchell was told he could look for another club. He was upset to hear this. But he stayed with the Eels. His halves partner Corey Norman left the club instead.
2019: Big Wins and Awards
In Round 6, Mitchell made history at the new Bankwest Stadium. He was the first player to score a try, conversion, and field goal in an NRL game there. Parramatta beat the Wests Tigers 51-6.
On 8 June, Mitchell signed a new three-year deal with the Eels. This kept him at the club until the end of 2022.
Parramatta finished 5th in the 2019 NRL season and made the finals. Mitchell was the top player for try assists in the regular season. In the elimination final, he scored 2 tries and kicked 6 goals. Parramatta won 58-0 against Brisbane. This was the biggest finals win in history. It was also Parramatta's biggest win over Brisbane.
On 30 September, Mitchell was named halfback for the Australia PM XIII team. He was also named the 2019 halfback of the year at the Dally M Awards.
2020: Finals Heartbreak
In Round 2, Mitchell scored a try and kicked nine goals. Parramatta beat the Gold Coast 46-6.
In Round 11, Mitchell returned from injury. He scored an amazing solo try against the Wests Tigers. He chipped the ball over the defense and scored. Parramatta won 26-16.
Parramatta finished third in 2020 and made the finals. After losing to Melbourne, they played South Sydney. Mitchell had a penalty kick to tie the game. But he missed, hitting the post. South Sydney then scored and won 38-24. This ended Parramatta's season.
2021: State of Origin Debut
In Round 6 of the 2021 NRL season, Mitchell kicked five goals and one field goal. Parramatta beat Canberra 35-10.
Mitchell signed a new contract with Parramatta until the end of 2024.
In Round 14, he scored a try and kicked seven goals. Parramatta beat Wests Tigers 40-12. In the first half, he made a big mistake. He dropped the ball when he was about to score. This was called the "Bombed try of the year."
In Round 16, Mitchell missed a penalty goal after the siren. This would have won the game against Penrith. Penrith held on to win 13-12.
Mitchell was chosen for the NSW Blues. He played halfback in the third State of Origin game of 2021. This was his first time playing for NSW. He was chosen because Nathan Cleary was injured. New South Wales lost 20-18. Mitchell helped set up two tries in the game.

In Round 14, Mitchell made another big mistake. He broke through the defense but dropped the ball near the try line. A Canterbury player knocked it out of his hand. Canterbury won 34-4.
After a win against Penrith, Mitchell broke a finger. He was out for five weeks. Jakob Arthur replaced him.
In Round 24, Mitchell scored a try, kicked eight goals, and one drop goal. Parramatta won 53-6 against Brisbane.

2023: More Milestones and Injuries
In Round 2 of the 2023 NRL season, Mitchell played his 200th first-grade game. Parramatta lost 30-26 to Cronulla. Mitchell scored two tries and kicked three goals.
In Round 4 against Penrith, Mitchell kicked the winning field goal in extra time. Parramatta won their first game of the season 17-16.
In Round 6, he helped set up four tries. Parramatta won 28-22 against the Wests Tigers.
In Round 10, Mitchell had a tough night with goal kicking. He also left the game with a head injury. Parramatta lost 24-26 to the Gold Coast.
On 18 May, Mitchell signed a new contract with Parramatta. It keeps him at the club until at least 2026.
On 12 June, Mitchell was chosen for New South Wales again. He played in game 2 of the 2023 State of Origin series. He was picked because Nathan Cleary was injured. After Parramatta's Round 3 win, it was announced Mitchell would miss 8-12 weeks. He had a fractured foot.
After almost three months, Mitchell returned to the Parramatta team. This was in their Round 13 game against Cronulla. Parramatta won 34-22. This was their first win in five weeks.
