Moberly is a small place in Kentucky, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it is a group of homes and businesses that do not have their own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it is part of the larger Madison County.
A Little Bit of History
Moberly got its name from a man named John Sterling Moberley. He was a local landowner. He was also the first person to run the post office there. The post office first opened in 1891. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1957. Today, Moberly is located where two roads meet: Kentucky Route 52 and Kentucky Route 374.
