The museum started in 1953. It is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network. You can find its main exhibits at 55 Carrer Pintor Fortuny. There is also a special area for temporary exhibits at Ca n'Ametller. This second location is where the museum's main home will be in the future.
