Monica Lisa Stevenson (born April 21, 1967) is an American gospel singer. Her first album, Finally...in God's Time, came out in 2009. Her next album, Live in Atlanta, was released in 2013. This album became very popular on the Billboard music charts. She was also nominated for two awards in 2009.

Early Life and Family
Monica Lisa Stevenson was born Monica Felicia Bowen on April 21, 1967. She grew up in Wetumpka, Alabama. Her parents are George Bowen and Pearlie Ellis. Monica is the oldest of their six children.
Monica is married to Derrick Stevenson. They have five children: Qwenton, Khalon, D’errica, Derrick Jr., and Zion. The family lives in Atlanta, Georgia. They are members of the New Life International Family Church, which is in Decatur, Georgia, near Atlanta.
Her Music Journey
Monica Lisa Stevenson started her music career in 2009. Her first album, Finally...in God's Time, was released on March 30, 2009. She released it through her own music company, Monicazmuzik.
For this first album, she was nominated for two big awards. These were for Best New Artist and Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year at the Stellar Awards.
Her second album, Live in Atlanta, came out on May 14, 2013. This album was a big success! It reached number 14 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. It also reached number 25 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. These charts show how popular albums are across the country.
Monica is also a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Her husband helps her by producing her albums.
