Monster Mutt is a famous monster truck that looks like a giant dog! It comes from West Chicago, Illinois and has been competing in the exciting Monster Jam series since 2003. This truck is known for its unique dog-like design, complete with big floppy ears, a tail, and a tongue sticking out. It's painted in shades of brown and has a dog's mouth painted on the front.
Monster Mutt started out looking like an old 1950s Mercury car, but then it got its special dog body. There are also other versions of Monster Mutt, like different dog breeds, and two of them are still competing today. The current driver of Monster Mutt is Tanner Root.

Meet the Monster Mutt Family
The Monster Mutt family has grown over the years! Besides the original brown Monster Mutt, there are other cool versions that look like different dog breeds.
Monster Mutt Dalmatian
In 2007, the Monster Mutt Dalmatian truck made its first appearance. This truck looks like a spotted Dalmatian dog. Drivers like Candice Jolly and Cynthia Gauthier often drive the Dalmatian. Candice Jolly has been competing in the World Finals with this truck since 2009. In recent years, different drivers have taken the wheel, including Randy Brown on the International Tour. For 2019, Cynthia Gauthier drove a special "Fire and Ice" version of the Monster Mutt Dalmatian, and other drivers like Kaylyn Migues and Kristen Hope also drove Dalmatian trucks in different series.
Monster Mutt Rottweiler
The Monster Mutt Rottweiler joined the Monster Mutt family in 2011. This truck looks like a powerful Rottweiler dog. Charles Benns was the first driver for this truck. Later, Rod Schmidt, who used to drive the famous Grave Digger, took over. In late 2013, the Rottweiler got an awesome new 3D body design. This new look was so cool that it inspired the modern designs for the other Monster Mutt trucks! From 2016 to 2019, drivers like Cory Snyder and Jack Brown also drove the Monster Mutt Rottweiler.
Monster Mutt Junkyard Dog
In 2016, the Monster Mutt Junkyard Dog was introduced. This truck was driven by Dustin Brown. Unlike the other Monster Mutt trucks, the Junkyard Dog kept the classic 1950s Mercury car body, but it was designed to look rusty, like it came straight from a junkyard! This version only competed for that one year.
Who Owns the Monster Mutts?
All the Monster Mutt trucks – the original, Dalmatian, Ice Dalmatian, Rottweiler, and Junkyard Dog – are owned by Feld Entertainment. They are the company that organizes the Monster Jam events.
