Montrose is found in the central part of the United States. It's a quiet place in the beautiful state of Kansas.
The History of Montrose
The story of Montrose began a long time ago. In 1880, a post office was first set up here. Back then, the area was known as Delta.
Later, in 1888, something big happened: the Rock Island Railroad arrived! This was a very important event. Because of the railroad, the settlement moved to its current spot. At that time, its name was changed from Delta to Montrose. We don't know for sure why it was named Montrose, as the reason is not clear.
