Mooresville is an unincorporated community in Ross County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. An unincorporated community is a group of homes and businesses that does not have its own local government. It is usually part of a larger county.
History of Mooresville
Mooresville got its name from the Moore family. They were some of the first people to settle and live in this area.
A post office opened in Mooresville in 1857. But it closed just one year later, in 1858. Later, a different post office opened in the same area. It was called Halltown and served the community from 1889 until 1902.
