More William is the second book in the popular Just William series. It was written by Richmal Crompton. This book is a follow-up to the first book, Just William. It was first published in 1922. A newer version came out in 2005.
About the Book
Like most of the William books, More William is not one long story. Instead, it is a collection of many short, funny adventures. Each chapter tells a different tale about William Brown and his friends.

- A Busy Day
William gets a book called Things a Boy Can Do. He tries to follow its instructions. This causes a lot of chaos for his family! His cousin Jimmy also joins in the fun.
- Rice-Mould
This was actually the very first William story ever written, around 1919. William wants to impress a girl who lives next door. He tries to sneak some delicious cream blancmange from his kitchen.
- William's Burglar
William makes friends with a mysterious stranger. The man says he was a soldier. But it soon becomes clear that he is actually a thief. William thinks he's a cool friend, but the man is up to no good.
- The Knight at Arms
This story is a bit like the famous tale of Don Quixote. "Sir William" and his loyal friend "squire" Ginger set out on an adventure. They want to rescue a "damsel in distress."
- William's Hobby
William decides to take up a new hobby: taxidermy. This means stuffing dead animals. He puts a dead frog he wants to stuff into his Uncle George's tea. He thinks it will help with the "tannin."

William finds himself competing for the attention of a girl named Joan. Who will win her over?
