Morgan is a small, unincorporated community located in the northwestern part of Winneshiek County, Iowa, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place with a shared identity, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
Morgan's Early Days
Morgan has a short but interesting history! One of the most important things that happened there was the opening of a post office. This post office started in February 1857. Having a post office was a big deal for a community back then. It meant people could send and receive letters and packages. This helped connect Morgan with other places. However, the post office only stayed open for a few years. It closed down in December 1866.
