Morrow Massey was born on March 31, 1906. His hometown was Providence, Kentucky.
In 1930, Massey began his professional baseball career. He joined a team called the Louisville Black Caps.
During this time, African American players could not play in the major baseball leagues. Because of this, they formed their own teams and leagues. These were known as the Negro leagues.
Playing Career
Massey played as an outfielder for the Louisville Black Caps. He played in 17 recorded games during his time with the team.
He was a good hitter. In those games, he got 18 hits. He also hit two home runs. He had 63 chances to bat.
Later Life
Morrow Massey passed away in his hometown. He died in Providence, Kentucky, on December 16, 1966. He was 60 years old.
