Mouloud Achour (born March 19, 1944 – died December 24, 2020) was an important person from Algeria. He was a talented writer, a respected professor, and a journalist. He shared his knowledge and stories with many people throughout his life.
Life and Work
Mouloud Achour was born in a place called Timizart in Algeria. He grew up to have a big impact on Algerian media and education.
He worked for the Public Establishment of Television. This is Algeria's main television company. First, he was a member of its executive council. Later, he became the chairman, leading the council.
Achour also worked for the government. He directed the office for the Ministry of Communications. This department handles how people communicate across the country.
He was also very involved in publishing books. He served as the editorial director for Casbah Éditions in Algiers. In this role, he was in charge of overseeing many books published in Algeria. This happened especially in 2003.
Mouloud Achour passed away on December 24, 2020. He was 76 years old. He died from an illness called COVID-19.
