Mount Ephraim is a small, quiet place in Noble County, Ohio, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger Noble County.
A Look Back in Time
Mount Ephraim has an interesting history! It was first planned out, or "platted," way back in 1838. A man named Ephraim Vorhies was the one who designed the layout for the community. He even named the place after himself!
A few years later, in 1843, a post office opened in Mount Ephraim. This was a really important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for a long time, helping people stay connected, until it finally closed its doors in 1955.
