History of Mount Holly
Mount Holly has a simple history. A post office was opened in the community in 1866. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years. It stayed open until 1935. Besides the post office, Mount Holly also had a country store. A country store was a place where people could buy everyday items and often served as a meeting spot for the community.
