Mount Pisgah, Ohio facts for kids
Mount Pisgah is a small, quiet place located in Clermont County, in the state of Ohio, USA. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that aren't officially part of a city or town. Instead, it's governed by the county.
History of Mount Pisgah
Mount Pisgah was never officially planned out on a map like many towns are. This process, called "platting," involves dividing land into lots for streets and buildings.
Even without being platted, Mount Pisgah had a post office, which was very important for people to send and receive mail in the past. This post office first opened in 1837 and was called Lisbon.
A few years later, in 1844, the name of the post office was changed to Mount Pisgah. It served the community for many years until it finally closed down in 1907.
