Mt. Zion Memorial Church is a very old and important church located in Princess Anne, Maryland. It's also known by other names like Mt. Zion Methodist Episcopal Church or Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. This church was built a long time ago, in 1887, and then updated in 1916. It has a special design with a tall, three-story tower at its entrance. This tower even has an open belfry, which is where bells would be. For many years, this church was a central place for the African-American community living along Polks Road in northern Somerset County.
