Moya Bailey's Journey and Work
Moya Bailey studied at Spelman College for her first degree. Later, she earned her advanced degree from Emory University. She used to teach at Northeastern University. Now, she is a professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University.
Supporting Writers and Communities
Moya Bailey helps with the Octavia E. Butler Legacy Network. This group works to support and share the ideas of the famous writer Octavia E. Butler. Moya Bailey also helped start "Quirky Black Girls." This is a group for Black women who do not fit common ideas about how they should act.
Feminists Engage Wikipedia (#tooFEW)

This includes how they appear in media, on reality TV, or in online discussions. The term helps explain why Black women might be treated unfairly in different situations.
