Muhamma Ramanan (which is Malayalam for മുഹമ്മ രമണൻ) was a famous writer from Kerala, India. He wrote many books, especially for children, in the Malayalam language.
One of his most famous books is Kannan kakkayute kaushalangal. This title means "Kannan Crow's Strategies." This book even won a special prize called the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Children's Literature. He wrote about forty books in total. These books included stories for kids, longer novels, and even books about how people think (psychology).
His children's novel Komunniyute dukham (meaning: Komunni's Sadness) was a bit like his own life story. He often used his home and the places around him in his books. For example, you can see his surroundings in Kannan kakkayute kaushalangal. He even wrote about his own children in books like Abhiyute anweshanam (meaning: Abhi's Investigation) and Anuvum kuttichathanum (meaning: Anu and Kuttichathan).

Muhamma Ramanan was born on February 18, 1942. His birth name was Chidambaran K. He was born in a place called Muhamma in the Alappuzha district of Kerala. His parents were Kunjikkuttan and Kalikkutty.
He went to school at Muhamma CMS LP School and Aryakkara Middle School. Later, he studied at Kanichukulangara High School and Alappuzha SD College. He started working in the government office called the Secretariat. He later became a Village Officer before he retired. He also taught students at local tuition centers. Muhamma Ramanan passed away on April 13, 2020, in Muhamma.
