Nada is a small, unincorporated community located in Powell County, Kentucky, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place with a shared identity but doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
History of Nada
Nada began around the year 1911. This was when a railroad line was built to reach the area. A sawmill, which cuts logs into lumber, was also built there in the same year.
The community gave its name to a nearby tunnel. This tunnel is called the Nada Tunnel. It was originally built for the railroad and was finished in 1911.
For many years, Nada had its own post office. It was named Lombard. This post office opened in 1901 and served the community until 1968.
