Nam Hyun-joon (born January 30, 1979) is a famous South Korean dancer, rapper, and singer. He is often known by his stage name, Poppin' Hyun Joon. He is especially known for his amazing "popping" dance moves. Many people see him as a pioneer, or one of the first important people, in South Korean breakdancing.

Biography
Nam Hyun-joon is well-known for his exciting popping dance style. This style includes moves like ticking, animation, tutting, and gliding. He is considered one of the most famous popping dancers around the world. Because of his great dancing skills, he often teaches other stars. He is also hired to create dance routines for them. He has been part of several dance groups, including Cyborg G, FREEZE, and Newest35.
Hyun-joon married Park Aeri, a Korean folk singer, in December 2010. He made a comeback in September 2015 after six years.
How He Became Famous
After his group Young Turks Club broke up, Hyun-joon decided to become a professional dancer. His smooth moves and great skills quickly got attention from many Korean celebrities. One of them was Choi Hyun-joon from the group V.O.S. Hyun-joon was inspired by the dance group Seo Taiji and Boys. He even appeared in the music video "Amen" by Lee Juno.
In 2005, Hyun-joon released a song called 'Lion's Roar'. The song's lyrics talked about his struggles and his strong will to dance. He became more and more popular in Korea during this time. He even performed at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He is also part of a dance group called Nam Hyun-joon and Kids. This name is a fun reference to the group Seo Taiji and Boys.
After his single was successful, Hyun-joon released his first hip-hop album in 2007. It was called One & Only. A music video for the main song, "Don't Stop," was released. He also performed this song on TV music shows.
In late 2014, Hyun Joon won the National Creative-Economy Award. He won it for his company, Poppin HyunJoon Art Company (PAC). This company helps artists. He often appears on TV with his wife, Park Aeri. They promote a mix of traditional Korean music (Arirang) and popping dance.
On July 31, 2014, it was announced that Nam Hyun-joon had left Star Empire Entertainment. He then joined Happy Face Entertainment.
