Nandaime is a town and a municipality (which is like a local government area) in Nicaragua. It is part of the Granada department, similar to a state or province.

Nandaime is a small town located in the southwestern part of Nicaragua. It sits right on the Panamerican Highway, a major road that crosses the Pacific area of the country. The town is about 67 kilometers (around 42 miles) from Managua, which is the capital city of Nicaragua. It's also quite close to Granada, the main city of its department, only about 20 kilometers (12 miles) away.

The people of Nandaime celebrate St. Anne and San Joaquín as their patron saints. Nandaime officially became a city on October 29, 1890.

The name Nandaime comes from the Chorotega language. The word "nanda" means "arroyo" or stream, and the ending "-ime" means there's a lot of something. So, Nandaime means "place of many streams."
