Naoaki Aoyama (青山 直晃, Aoyama Naoaki, born July 18, 1986) is a retired Japanese football player. He was born on July 18, 1986, in Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan. Naoaki Aoyama played as a centre-back, which is a defensive position in football.
He played for several teams during his career. These include Shimizu S-Pulse, Yokohama F. Marinos, and Ventforet Kofu in Japan. He also played for Muangthong United in Thailand.

Football Journey: Naoaki Aoyama's Club Career
Naoaki Aoyama started his professional football journey after finishing high school in 2004. In 2005, he joined Shimizu S-Pulse. He quickly became a key player for them.
He played 121 league games over six seasons with Shimizu S-Pulse. This made him a regular starter for the team.
Moving to New Teams
In 2011, Aoyama moved to Yokohama F. Marinos. He played for two years there. However, he found it harder to get a regular spot on the team.
He played 10 league games in his first year and 7 in his second. After that, in 2013, he moved to Ventforet Kofu.
Success with Ventforet Kofu
At Ventforet Kofu, Aoyama played for two seasons. He scored 4 goals in 59 league games. His team finished 15th in 2013 and 13th in 2014.
Playing in Thailand
A big change in his career happened in 2015. Naoaki Aoyama moved to Thailand to play for Muangthong United. This was a very successful time for him.
With Muangthong United, he won the Thai Premier League in 2016. He also won the League Cup in both 2016 and 2017. He played over 100 games during his four years in Thailand.
Return to Japan
In 2019, Aoyama returned to Japan. He joined Gamba Osaka for the 2019 season. Later, he also played for Kagoshima United FC.
