Naoise Ó Muirí (born 15 September 1972) is an Irish politician. He is a member of the Fine Gael political party. Since November 2024, he has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Bay North area. A TD is like a Member of Parliament in other countries. He was also the Lord Mayor of Dublin from 2012 to 2013. Before becoming a TD, he was a councillor for Dublin City Council for many years.

Naoise Ó Muirí: A Public Servant
Naoise Ó Muirí was born in Galway, Ireland, on 15 September 1972. He went to the NUI Galway for his studies. After university, he became an engineer. He even runs his own technology company.
Starting in Local Politics
Ó Muirí began his political journey in local government. He was first elected to the Dublin City Council in 2004. He represented the Clontarf area. He was re-elected as a city councillor in 2009. He served as a councillor until November 2024.
Becoming Lord Mayor of Dublin
In June 2012, Naoise Ó Muirí was chosen to be the Lord Mayor of Dublin. This is a very important role in the city. He was elected with support from the Fine Gael and Labour Party councillors. He served as Lord Mayor for one year, until June 2013.
Moving to National Politics
Ó Muirí tried to become a Teachta Dála (TD) several times. He ran in the 2011 and 2016 general elections but was not elected. However, his hard work paid off. At the 2024 general election, he was successfully elected. He now represents the Dublin Bay North constituency in the Dáil. The Dáil is the main house of the Irish parliament.

Naoise Ó Muirí is married and has three children. He is also a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.
