Naomi Judd was an American singer and actress. She was born Diana Ellen Judd on January 11, 1946. Naomi and her daughter, Wynonna Judd, formed a very famous country music duo called The Judds in 1983. Naomi Judd was honored in the Country Music Hall of Fame right after she passed away in 2022.

Early Life and Family
Naomi Judd was born in Ashland, Kentucky. Her parents were Polly and Charles Judd. When Naomi was 18, her first daughter, Wynonna, was born. Later, her second daughter, Ashley Judd, was born in 1968. Ashley grew up to be a well-known actress.
Naomi raised both her daughters on her own. She went to nursing school before starting her successful music career with Wynonna.
The Judds: A Music Duo
Naomi and her daughter Wynonna became a very popular singing duo called The Judds. They were known as country music's most famous mother-daughter team. They had many hit songs, with fifteen reaching number one!
The Judds won five Grammy Awards. They also won many other awards for eight years in a row. Naomi even won a Grammy for writing the song "Love Can Build a Bridge".
Solo Work and Later Career
In 1991, The Judds stopped performing together because Naomi Judd became ill. Their farewell concert was a huge event. Naomi later started a fund to help people learn about her illness. She also became a spokesperson for the American Liver Foundation.
Naomi continued to act in movies and TV shows. In 1999, she starred in the film A Holiday Romance.
The Judds reunited for special concerts a few times. They performed for many fans on their "Power to Change" tour in 2000. In 2001, they were nominated for an award as the top vocal duo.
From 2003 to 2004, Naomi was a judge on the TV show Star Search. She also wrote several helpful books, like Naomi's Guide to Aging Gratefully in 2007.
In 2008, Naomi was a judge and mentor on the TV show Can You Duet on CMT. She also appeared in TV movies like The Killing Game in 2011. In 2014, she played "Honey" in An Evergreen Christmas.
In 2017, Naomi and her husband competed on the cooking show My Kitchen Rules.
Personal Life and Passing
Naomi Judd married her second husband, Larry Strickland, on May 6, 1989.
She passed away on April 30, 2022, near Nashville, Tennessee. She was 76 years old.
