The poem was dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. She continued to win more awards at this academy in the next two years.
Narcisa Pérez Reoyo wrote several important works. These included Cantos de la infancia (Songs of Childhood), published in 1865. She also wrote Devocionario infantil (Children's Prayer Book) in 1867. Her book Horas perdidas (Lost Hours) came out in 1874.
She married a man named Nicolás Boado. Narcisa Pérez Reoyo passed away on June 19, 1876, in A Coruña, Spain.
