Naruyuki Naito (内藤 就行, Naito Naruyuki, born November 9, 1967) is a Japanese football coach and former player. He was born in Nara, Japan. Naito is known for his long career playing for several top Japanese clubs. He later became a successful football coach.

Playing Football: Naruyuki Naito's Career
Naruyuki Naito started his football journey after finishing university. In 1990, he joined a team called Honda. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main players trying to score goals. During his time at Honda, his team finished second in the 1991 JSL Cup.
Joining Kashima Antlers
In 1992, Naito moved to Kashima Antlers, a very famous club. At first, it was hard for him to get a lot of playing time. There were many other talented forwards on the team.
Changing Positions to Succeed
In 1995, Naito made a big change. He started playing as a side-back, a defender who also helps with attacks on the side of the field. This change helped him become a regular player for Kashima Antlers. The team then won the J1 League championship in 1996!
In 1997, another player joined the team, which meant Naito played less often. But he was ready for another change! In 1998, he became a defensive midfielder. This role involves protecting the defense and helping to start attacks. Playing alongside other great players, Naito helped Kashima Antlers win the J1 League championship again in 1998. He also won the J.League Cup and the Emperor's Cup with Kashima Antlers in 1997.
Later Club Years
In 2000, Naito moved to FC Tokyo, a team that had just joined the top league, J1 League. He played regularly as a right side-back. However, in 2001, his playing time decreased, and he moved to Avispa Fukuoka in August of that year. He played for Avispa Fukuoka until the end of the 2002 season.
Naito finished his playing career in 2003 with Volca Kagoshima, a team in the Regional Leagues. He retired from playing professional football at the end of that year. Throughout his career, Naito played in 253 league matches and scored 8 goals.
Coaching Football: Naruyuki Naito's Journey
After his playing career, Naruyuki Naito became a football coach. He coached women's and university teams for a few years.
In 2021, Naito was hired to coach Tegevajaro Miyazaki. This was a special year for the club because it was their first time playing in a professional league, the J3 League. Naito led the team to a very successful season, finishing third in the league table. After this great achievement, he left the coaching position.
