Nataša Novotná (born October 29, 1977, in Opava) is a famous Czech dancer and choreographer. She also teaches dance and helped start two important dance organizations: 420PEOPLE and the Kylián Fund in Prague.

Nataša Novotná studied dance at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. This is a special school for arts.
Her Amazing Dance Career
Dancer and Choreographer
In 1997, Nataša joined a famous Dutch dance group. It was called Nederlands Dans Theater 2 (NDT2). This group was led by the well-known choreographer Jiří Kylián.
From 2000 to 2002, she danced in Sweden. She performed with the Göteborgs Operan Ballet. After that, in 2002, she became a member of the main Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT1).
Nataša has worked with many top choreographers. Some of them include Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, and William Forsyth. She has also worked with Crystal Pite and Meryl Tancard.
Since 2007, Nataša has been working on her own. She performs modern dance all over the world. She has danced with groups like the Tero Saarinen Company in Finland. She also performed with the Copenhagen International Ballet. Nataša has even danced with famous soloists. One was Roberto Bolle from Teatro alla Scala. Another was Sylvie Guillem at London's Sadler's Wells.
Starting 420PEOPLE

In 2007, Nataša started a modern dance group. She created 420PEOPLE with Václav Kuneš. He was also a dancer from NDT. Their manager, Ondřej Kotrč, helped too. Nataša was the executive director until 2016.
The name 420PEOPLE shows their Czech roots. The number 420 is the international phone code for the Czech Republic.
This dance group performs often. They travel to many countries. These include France, Spain, Germany, and Japan. They also perform in many places in the Czech Republic. This includes the National Theatre.
420PEOPLE also brings famous foreign artists to the Czech Republic. These artists include Ohad Naharin and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
The Kylián Fund in Prague
After working with 420PEOPLE for ten years, Nataša started something new. In 2017, she founded the Kylián Fund in Prague.
This fund helps support dance. It also helps other arts related to dance. Its goal is to support dance on an international level.

Nataša is very active in supporting Czech modern dance. She is a board member of the Vision of Dance group. This is a professional organization for dancers.
She also teaches dance at many places. She teaches at dance conservatories. She also teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Nataša teaches dance groups in the Czech Republic and other countries.
Since 2017, she has been a certified teacher of the Gaga movement language. This unique dance style was created by the famous choreographer Ohad Naharin.
