Natalio is a district located in the Itapúa Department of Paraguay. It is found in the southeastern part of the country. The main town is just 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) from the Paraná River. This river also forms the border with Argentina.
The district is about 45 kilometers (28 miles) off Route 6. This important road connects the departmental capitals of Encarnación and Ciudad del Este. Natalio is known for its rich farming land.

Natalio was officially established in 1974. It is a newer district in the Itapúa Department. The district covers an area of 386 square kilometers.
Farming in Natalio
Natalio is a very important farming area. Farmers here grow many different crops. These include soy, corn, wheat, tung, sorghum, and cotton. Because of its large soy production, Natalio is often called "the Capital of Soy."
Population and People
According to a 2002 count, Natalio had a population of 19,456 people. The people living here contribute to the district's strong agricultural economy.
Local Government
The leader of Natalio's local government is called the Municipal Intendent. As of now, the Municipal Intendent is Denis Rolando. He is a member of the ANR political party.
