Natascha Badmann (born 6 December 1966) is a famous professional triathlete from Switzerland. A triathlete is an athlete who competes in a triathlon, a race that combines swimming, cycling, and running.

Natascha is known for winning the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii six times! She won in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005. In 1998, she made history as the first European woman to win this tough competition.

Outside of sports, Natascha works as a social worker in Switzerland. She can speak German, English, French, and Italian. She lives in Winznau, Switzerland, with her husband Toni and their daughter Anastasia.

Natascha became a mom just before her 18th birthday. People often call her the "Swiss Miss" because she's from Switzerland. She won her first Ironman World Championship when she was 29, and her daughter was already 13 years old. Her husband, Toni Hasler, is also her coach and helps her with her diet.

Challenges and Comebacks

Natascha has faced some tough moments during her races. In the 2007 Hawaii Ironman, she had an accident on the bike part of the race. She hit a cone and hurt her shoulder and collarbone.

Even though she wanted to keep going, her husband Toni convinced her to stop. This was to prevent her from getting more seriously injured.

In the same race in 2006, she had stomach problems that almost made her quit. Early in the running part, Natascha stopped and got sick. She struggled to continue and started to walk.

But in a very emotional moment, with lots of cheers from the fans, Natascha started jogging again, even though she was crying. She managed to finish the race in 10th place.

Winning the 2004 Ironman Championship

Natascha Badmann was declared the winner of the 2004 Ironman Triathlon World Championship. This happened even though she initially finished second in the race.

The person who finished first, Nina Kraft from Germany, was later disqualified. This was because she had broken the competition rules. Because of this, Natascha was officially named the champion of the 2004 race.
