Nathaniel Atcheson (1772-1825) was an English ship-owner. This means he owned ships, often for trade. He became a secretary for a group of London ship owners. He also worked with the Society of Ship-Owners of Great Britain.

In 1793, Atcheson helped start the London Pitt Club. This club aimed to go against some of the new, strong ideas coming from the French Revolution. These ideas were about big changes in government and society.

Important Writings

In 1803, Atcheson wrote a report about a court case. It was called Report of the Case Fisher against Ward. This case was about a time when Russia stopped British ships from entering its ports. This stop was ordered by Paul I of Russia. The case involved a sailor named Fisher, who was on a ship called the Fishburn.
