The Church of the Holy Trinity

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Ridgeland is a beautiful old church. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 25, 1982. This church is located where South Carolina Highways 13 and 29 meet. It's a great example of historic architecture in the area.

Gillisonville Baptist Church

The Gillisonville Baptist Church is another very old church, listed on May 14, 1971. You can find it on U.S. Route 278 in Gillisonville. This church has been a central part of its community for many years.

Robertville Baptist Church

Honey Hill-Boyd's Neck Battlefield

The Honey Hill-Boyd's Neck Battlefield is a very important historical site. It was listed on July 3, 2004. This battlefield is located east of Ridgeland, near Honey Hill. Old House Plantation

The Old House Plantation was added to the National Register on October 6, 1997. It's found off South Carolina Highway 462, just south of Old House, near Ridgeland. This plantation is special because it includes the grave of Thomas Heyward, Jr., who was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence!

White Hall Plantation House Ruins and Oak Avenue

The White Hall Plantation House Ruins and Oak Avenue were listed on October 27, 2000. These ruins are located off South Carolina Highway 336, west of Old House, near Ridgeland. This site is also known as Good Hope Plantation. It gives us a glimpse into what plantations looked like long ago.

Jasper County Courthouse

The Jasper County Courthouse in Ridgeland is a grand building that was listed on October 30, 1981. It's located on Russell Street. This courthouse was built in 1915 and was designed by a famous architect named William Augustus Edwards. Courthouses are important because they are where local government and justice happen.

J.C. Richardson House

The J.C. Richardson House in Robertville was added to the National Register on September 22, 2014. You can find it at 67 Gillison Branch Road. This house is a great example of the homes built in the area long ago.

Sinclair Service Station

The Sinclair Service Station in Ridgeland is a unique historic spot, listed on October 13, 2015. It's located at 10782 Jacob Smart Boulevard. This old gas station has been restored and now houses the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage, which is a museum that teaches about the history of the Lowcountry region.
